Subject: Defective MacBook under warranty - seller not responding (Order #7925) To, National Consumer Helpline I am Gurkarman Singh, village Kot Bhai, Punjab, PIN 152101. Phone: [protected]. Email: [protected]@gmail.com. SELLER Flashify (flashify.in), Janakpuri D Block, Delhi 110058 Email: [protected]@flashify.in WhatsApp/phone: [protected] and [protected] ORDER DETAILS Order #7925, placed 28 July 2026, delivered on [DELIVERY DATE]. Product: Apple 2019 MacBook Pro 16-inch, 16GB RAM, 512GB, Intel Core i7, Space Grey, sold as "Renewed - Superb". Amount paid: Rs. 42,990. MAIN COMPLAINT 1. On 21 October 2026, within the warranty period, the laptop's display suddenly went black during normal use. The laptop was not dropped, hit, or physically damaged by me, and it has not been opened or repaired by anyone. 2. The laptop still starts normally: it plays the startup chime, the Touch Bar and keyboard backlight work, and macOS runs. A faint image is visible on the screen under a flashlight. This points to a backlight/display defect, not physical damage. 3. The seller's product page advertises a 6 Months Warranty (and, in the same listing, a 1 Year Warranty and a 7 Day Replacement Guarantee). The advertised warranty does not exclude the display or backlight. The fault appeared about three months after purchase. 4. On 23 October 2026, I contacted the seller on WhatsApp at [protected], the support number on their Return and Refund Policy page, and reported the fault. My messages have not been read or answered. Their other listed number, [protected], is switched off. I have received no repair, no inspection and no referral to a service center. I am also sending the seller a written notice by email to [protected]@flashify.in. This is defective goods and deficiency in service under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. SECONDARY ISSUE (for the record) The laptop was also delivered without its original box, wrapped only in bubble wrap, and the free gift advertised on the listing was not received. I am not pressing this as the main issue, but I note it as further evidence of the seller's poor service. RELIEF SOUGHT 1. Free repair of the display/backlight at the seller's cost (including pickup and return shipping), or a replacement with an equivalent working unit. If neither is possible, a full refund of Rs. 42,990. 2. A written response from the seller, with a named contact person and a working phone number. ATTACHMENTS Invoice and order confirmation; screenshots of the product page showing the warranty; WhatsApp screenshots showing my messages unanswered; call log showing attempts to reach the seller; photos of the packaging received; and a video showing the black screen and the faint image under flashlight. I request that the helpline take up this complaint with the seller and help me reach a resolution. Gurkarman Singh [protected] [protected]@gmail.com 23 October 2026
