Complaint Details
I hold account number [protected] with SBI. On 11-December-2021, I made a UPI payment of Rs.1400 through PhonePe that was intended for Mfine Lab, but due to a mistake, the amount got transferred to a wrong beneficiary, Mr. Vikas Gupta, whose account is with InudsIn Bank. The transaction reference details are UPI/DR/[protected]/VIKAS GU/INDB/BHARATPE.0/Pay T. Since the payment did not go to Mfine Lab, I had to make a second transfer immediately to Mfine Lab on the same day, as I urgently needed the RT-PCR report to fly to Dubai. I have no connection with Mr. Vikas Gupta. He is not my merchant, service provider, or someone I owe any dues to, and I do not know him personally. I have already spoken to SBI over the phone about this and followed up with a written request asking them to coordinate with IndusIn Bank to recover and refund the wrongly transferred amount. I have also provided my contact number and email address in case Mr. Vikas Gupta wishes to get in touch regarding this matter. Despite my request, the issue remains unresolved. I request SBI to take up this matter on priority with IndusIn Bank and ensure that the wrongly transferred amount of Rs.1400 is refunded to me at the earliest.
