Vendor not paying for work done by me

I am a final year student and I work as a freelance writer, preparing research papers and humanised documents for clients against payment. I was working for a vendor named Tarun Sharma, who runs an Instagram page called Research Genius, and all the work was assigned and discussed through WhatsApp. He used to send me files to humanise or prepare as papers, and he paid me in partial amounts from time to time. Over time, the pending amount owed to me became Rs. 8475. He promised me on Saturday that he would clear this payment by Monday, but he has not paid till date. Since then, he has stopped picking up my calls and has not replied to my text messages, even though he is active on WhatsApp and posting status updates, which shows he is deliberately avoiding me. I have put in a lot of hard work for this payment and am now being denied the money I have rightfully earned. I request that Tarun Sharma (Research Genius) be made to pay the pending amount of Rs. 8475 that he owes me for the work I completed for him.
