Unfair exchange value

We purchased these silver earrings with gold coating for ₹4,000 on September 5th. Unfortunately, after using them only 3–4 times, the gold coating has completely worn off. When we approached you regarding the issue and asked for an exchange, we were told that you would return only ₹1,800, which is unfair. At the time of purchase, we were clearly informed that if we wanted to return or exchange the earrings, the same amount of ₹4,000 would be considered. Based on that assurance, we made the purchase. The gold coating wearing off after just 3–4 uses is clearly not what we expected for a product purchased for ₹4,000. We request you to kindly honour what was promised at the time of purchase and provide an exchange/return for the full ₹4,000. We hope you will understand our concern and resolve this fairly.
