WhatsApp scam

Subject: Complaint Regarding UPI Fraud of ₹18,000 Respected Sir/Madam, I am writing to report a UPI fraud in which I have lost a total amount of ₹18,000. On 23 October 2026, a person contacted me through WhatsApp using my friend's compromised WhatsApp account and requested money urgently. Believing that the request was genuine, I transferred the money through Google Pay (GPay) using UPI. Later, I realised that I had been cheated. The person used the UPI ID [protected]@okbizaxis to receive the payment. I have already contacted the cybercrime helpline 1930 and informed my bank about this incident, but I have not received an acknowledgement/reference number yet. I request you to register my complaint, urgently trace and freeze the beneficiary account or funds if possible, and initiate the process to recover my ₹18,000. I am ready to provide payment receipts, UPI transaction IDs, WhatsApp screenshots, and any other required evidence. Please provide me with a complaint/reference number and take urgent action.
