Formal Complaint Regarding p-selling of Loan-Based Health Insurance, Unauthorised Complaint Closure, and Recovery Harassment Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally complain about the mis-selling of a loan-based health insurance policy through an HDFC Credit Card Relationship Manager, Mr. Anish Kumar Pandey, and the alleged misguidance by the concerned HDFC ERGO insurance agent, Mr. Rahul Pandey. The policy was issued to me without properly explaining its terms, conditions, premium obligations, and financial implications. Although I provided an OTP, I was not fully informed about the nature of the insurance policy and its financial commitments. Providing an OTP should not be treated as proof that I was properly informed about all the policy details. I raised my first complaint on 21 August, but my complaint was closed without my knowledge or satisfactory resolution. For approximately the last one and a half months, I have been trying to resolve this matter, but instead of receiving assistance, I am facing repeated recovery calls and considerable mental and financial stress. At the time the policy was issued, the amount was approximately ₹23,700, but it has now increased to around ₹26,200. I am being asked to pay a premium of approximately ₹23,000, which I cannot afford due to my limited income and financial difficulties. I already have a separate health insurance policy with a coverage of ₹5 lakh. Therefore, I did not wish to purchase an additional ₹15 lakh health insurance policy, particularly without a proper explanation of its financial obligations. I work in a private job and have family responsibilities. My income is insufficient to bear this additional financial burden. The repeated recovery calls and pressure are causing me significant distress. I request the following actions:m. I respectfully request you to: Immediately investigate the alleged mis-selling and the conduct of the concerned agents. Cancel the disputed health insurance policy and refund the eligible premium amount. Investigate why my first complaint was closed without my knowledge or satisfactory resolution. Stop harassment through repeated recovery calls and review the disputed premium, interest, and charges while the complaint is being investigated. Provide copies of the policy documents, proposal form, consent records, and other relevant evidence relating to the policy issuance. Provide me with a written response and a complaint reference number. I have been suffering from considerable mental stress and financial hardship because this matter has remained unresolved despite repeated complaints. I request your immediate intervention and a fair resolution. If my complaint is not resolved, I will escalate the matter to the appropriate banking and insurance grievance authorities and seek legal assistance. Thank you for your cooperation.
