Complaint Regarding Negligent Vehicle Repair, Engine Seizure, and Excessive Repair Charges

I submitted my car to the workshop on 14 May 2026 for an oil leakage complaint. At the time of submission, the vehicle was in complete running condition. The workshop assured me that the repair would be completed within 10 days. The timing chain had previously been replaced with a genuine Volkswagen part, for which I have a valid bill. However, after carrying out repairs, the workshop incorrectly adjusted the engine timing and started the vehicle. As a result, the timing chain broke and the engine seized while the vehicle was under their custody. Despite this, the workshop charged me ₹25,000 as labour charges for the initial repair. After the engine seizure, they collected another ₹8,000 as an advance and are now demanding further amounts for additional repairs. More than four months have passed, and the original oil leakage complaint remains unresolved. I hold the workshop responsible for the damage caused by improper repair and incorrect timing adjustment. I request appropriate compensation and refund of charges.
