Complaint Against Goibibo and Vesta Sapphire Jaipur for Denial of Confirmed Hotel Booking and Non-Refund of ₹6,657

I am writing to formally complain about the failure to honour my paid and confirmed hotel reservation in Jaipur. I booked the hotel through Goibibo in May 2026 for my stay from 18th to 22nd October 2026. I paid the booking amount and received confirmation on 1 October 2026. However, when I arrived at the hotel on 18 October 2026, I was informed that the ownership of the hotel had changed and that the previous owner had not confirmed my reservation. I was consequently denied the accommodation for which I had paid and which had been confirmed to me. This caused considerable inconvenience, distress and disruption to my travel plans. I had relied on the confirmed reservation and should not have been left without the accommodation I had booked because of a dispute or communication failure between the parties involved. I therefore request the following: 1. A full refund of the booking amount, if it has not already been refunded. 2. Reimbursement of reasonable additional expenses incurred because the confirmed booking was not honoured, supported by receipts. 3. Fair compensation for the inconvenience, distress and disruption caused by this failure of service. 4. A written explanation of why my reservation was confirmed but the accommodation was subsequently denied. 5. Clarification of the respective responsibilities of Goibibo and the hotel operator in this incident.
