Complaint Regarding UPI Payment Fraud Through Impersonation of Police officer -rs4500

Respected Sir/Madam, I am filing this complaint regarding a UPI financial fraud of ₹4,500 involving my father. My father received calls from unknown mobile numbers. The callers used intimidation and false information to make him transfer ₹4,500. The incidents occurred as follows: 1. Mobile number: [protected] The caller claimed to be calling from Peenya Police Station, Bengaluru, and threatened us. 2. Mobile number: [protected] The caller claimed that a woman named Pritika had accidentally sent ₹4,500 and demanded that we immediately return the money. However, no such amount had actually been received by us. 3. Mobile number: [protected] This is the number associated with the payment recipient/information provided for sending the ₹4,500. My father transferred the money following the callers' instructions. The callers threatened that our bank account would be permanently blocked if we did not immediately return the money. Believing their statements and fearing the police threat, my father unknowingly transferred ₹4,500. Transaction details: - Amount lost: ₹4,500 - Date: 2 November 2026 - Time: 4:54 PM - Recipient name shown: Karan S Rathod - Recipient UPI ID shown: ending in 21-2@ibl - UPI transaction ID: [protected] - Sending bank: Canara Bank - Payment application: Google Pay We believe this is an organized UPI fraud involving impersonation of police officers, false payment claims and threats. I request the Cyber Crime Department to: 1. Investigate all three mobile numbers. 2. Trace the recipient's bank account and UPI transactions. 3. Identify the individuals involved. 4. Take necessary action to freeze the suspected fraudulent account, subject to investigation. 5. Help recover our lost amount of ₹4,500. We have the payment screenshot and call history as evidence.
