Subject: Theft of Crackers from Sealed Parcel / Deficiency of Service - Reg. Dear Sir/Madam, I am submitting this complaint regarding severe negligence, deficiency of service, and theft of goods involving A1 Travels and Speed Parcel Service and Idhaya Prabha Traders, Sivakasi. Details of the Case: 1. On 22/10/2026, I purchased firecrackers worth Rs. 7,810/- (Bill No. 15 074 for Rs. 3,500 and Bill No. 15 072 for Rs. 4,310) from Idhaya Prabha Traders, Sivakasi. 2. The seller dispatched the sealed parcel box to my location via A1 Travels and Speed Parcel Service under Parcel Tracking/LR No. [protected] (Sivakasi-Parapatti to Rasipuram Branch). 3. On 26/10/2026, when I went to collect the parcel at the A1 Parcel Service Rasipuram branch, I was shocked to find that the parcel box was torn open from the side, and the contents (firecrackers) inside were stolen while in transit. 4. Although the online tracking system shows "Successfully Delivered," the parcel was delivered in a severely damaged condition with items missing. As the parcel service provider, A1 Travels and Speed Parcel Service had the legal and moral duty to deliver the package safely. Similarly, the seller (Idhaya Prabha Traders) is responsible for ensuring the safe receipt of goods paid for by the customer. Both parties failed to provide satisfactory service and support. Relief Sought: I request the Consumer Forum/Authority to direct the opposite parties to: 1. Refund the full amount of Rs. 7,810/- for the stolen goods. 2. Provide suitable compensation for the mental agony and inconvenience caused due to this incident. I have attached the purchase invoices/bills and parcel tracking details as proof.
