Formal Consumer Complaint Against Flipkart and Whirlpool for Denial of Replacement of Defective Washing Machine

I ordered a semi-automatic washing machine from Flipkart. However, during installation, the technician identified multiple defects in the product. He confirmed that the motor was not fitted properly, the dryer was not working, and there were additional internal technical issues. After inspecting the machine, the technician recommended a replacement and mentioned the same in the job sheet. However, when I contacted Flipkart Customer Support, they informed me that the replacement would be handled by the brand under its 7-day replacement policy. They are directing me to the brand instead of taking responsibility. It has already been 10 days, and I have still not received any replacement or proper resolution. I fail to understand why I am being redirected between Flipkart and the brand when the technician has officially confirmed that the product was defective at the time of installation. . The Whirlpool technician has also refused to provide a replacement, stating that Whirlpool cannot process the replacement and that Flipkart is responsible for providing it. On the other hand, Flipkart is refusing my replacement request and directing me to Whirlpool, citing the brand's 7-day replacement policy. As a result, both companies are shifting responsibility to each other, leaving me without any resolution despite the technician confirming that the washing machine was defective at the time of installation. I raised my complaint within the initial 7-day period and have supporting evidence in the form of the technician's job sheet. I do not want repair or servicing of this defective product. I am seeking a complete replacement with a new, defect-free washing machine. I request the Hon'ble Consumer Commission to consider the negligence, deficiency in service and failure to resolve the complaint by both parties and grant appropriate relief under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
