I, Shahid Imam, resident of Park Circus, – 700017, had taken a room on rent in the Entally area at a monthly rent of ₹10,000. As per the rental agreement, I paid a security deposit of ₹70,000 to the house owner. Within two months of starting the tenancy, the rental agreement was cancelled. Since then, despite repeated requests to the house owner, the security deposit of ₹70,000 has not been refunded to me. It has now been more than five months since the cancellation, and the amount remains unpaid. I have lodged a General Diary (GD) at Entally Police Station regarding this matter, and I have all the agreement papers and payment proof with me, but no effective action has been taken so far. This amount is important for me and my family, and I am facing mental and financial stress due to this non-refund. I request that the house owner be directed to immediately refund my full security deposit of ₹70,000, and that appropriate action be taken against the owner for withholding my money without valid reason.
